Hi! I’m Charley, the co-founder and one of the writers for Grid Talk. I have been an avid motorsport fan for almost ten years. My Dad is a casual F1 fan and I was brought up hearing the beautiful sounds of V10 engines. My favourite team has always been McLaren, this developed from watching Jenson Button win the World Championship at Brawn before moving to McLaren for the following season. In more recent years, my motorsport obsession has lead to me following Formula E, IndyCar as well as the F2 and F3 support series.

I’ve sadly not attended any races yet due to the 2020 season taking place behind closed doors, but I have had two absolutely incredible F1 experiences to date. I’m very lucky to have visited the McLaren Technology Centre and was invited to the McLaren garage at F1 testing in Barcelona. I am extremely passionate about motorsport and writing, so combining them for Grid Talk is the start of a dream come true!

Hey, I’m Aimee, I am 21 years old and currently studying business management at university. I’m the co-founder and a writer for Grid Talk. I’ve been a fan of F1 for ten years, it started when i couldn’t find the TV remote and the rest was history. Daniel Ricciardo is my favourite driver and he has been for around eight years, but Sebastian Vettel was the real reason that I got into Formula 1.

I attended my first race at Spa in 2014, my Dad took me as a birthday present. The first ever F1 car I saw on track was the Marussia, with Jules Bianchi driving – my face was a picture. From this trip, Spa became my favourite track and I have gone back there three times since. There is just something about an F1 weekend which makes you feel so at home. Watching the sport you love in person and being surrounded by others who share that passion, there is no feeling like it. My Formula 1 dream is to take a year out and attend the entire race calendar, but for now, getting to a race in the next two years will do.

Hello you, glad you found the bit about me! My name is Caitlin, I’m 22 years old and I am a writer for Grid Talk. I also make YouTube videos, trying to connect to more people who enjoy the sport as much as I do. I’ve always been around motorsport, starting from going to Wales to watch the Speedway with my family, or staying at home to watch the Brazilian Grand Prix. I used to be a big fan of Webber, Vettel and Button. Then Ricciardo appeared. From then on, Daniel has always been my number one driver. He’s a great guy, on and off the track.

I’m currently living in South East London/Kent and working full time in PR as an Insight Executive. I hope to end up on your TV screens talking about F1. I am yet to experience a full race weekend but have had the pleasure of a Friday practice session and Winter Testing – I went into the Racing Point garage and it was insane. I hope to attend as many races as I can to finally see what I love, and I’d love to take you on this journey with me.

What’s up guys, my name is Mile. I’m 22 years old, living in Berlin and I’m Grid Talks social media manger. On a day to day basis, I work as an actress for theatre, television and movies – but in my free time I am a motorsport nerd. I grew up watching Formula 1 with my Dad and Grandpa and I haven’t stopped ever-since. It’s the perfect balance to my creative job. Michael Schumacher is one of my childhood heroes and my favourite teams are Red Bull and McLaren. I also have a huge interest in Sim Racing and Esports.

My favourite moment during a race has to be the start. I honestly get goose bumps every time the lights go out and the engines start roaring. Best. Feeling. Ever.
Sadly though, I haven’t had the chance to go to an actual race yet, but I can not wait for that day to come. For now, I can’t wait to share my passion for this sport with all of you!

Hey, I’m Neil.

My name is Ben. Formula One has been part of my life since I was a little boy. My Grandads were both fans, my Dad is a fan, and I am a fan too. I have never been too far away from the sport throughout my life.

My favourite drivers of all time are Mika Hakkinen, Jenson Button and Kimi Raikkonen. I also loved Michael Schumacher growing up, and even got to sit in his F1 car. That was fun! Away from F1, I am a teacher and love photography and writing as a hobby.

Hi! My name is Nell, I’m a writer for Grid Talk! I’m 22 years old and a MA Public Policy graduate. I grew up watching my Grandad watching Formula 1 and his love for the sport has been passed down to me. I still watch every race with him and absolutely love it, it’s my favourite part of the week! My love for F1 has now grown to F2/3 and Formula E and my family often joke that they can never find me because I’m always watching sport on TV.

My favourite part of the weekend has to be qualifying because it’s so exciting and you can never predict the result. I love the races too (of course), especially when they’re completely mixed-up like in Monza in 2020, and you get a new winner or podium sitter. I’ve sadly not been able to go to a race yet but will be going as soon as we’re allowed! For now, I can’t wait to share my love for the sport with everyone virtually!
